At each stage of the criminal justice system, a person who is the victim of a crime requires information not only for upcoming events but often for their personal safety, emotional well-being, and to restore their confidence in the justice system. The method by which the victim receives this information will vary depending on the circumstances. However, several options are being considered for implementation in Justice Link including: victim phone in, victim computer access, system-generated letters/phone calls directly to victims notifying them of important court dates, perpetrator parole hearings, and release dates.
